A sewing needle has such a simple shape, and its manufacturing method is also simple, just "Cutting, Grinding and Polishing.” However, it is still manufactured through more than 30 processes at present. Doing strict quality control thoroughly in each production process, we have been exporting the highest quality products to more than 40 countries over many years.
Making use of traditional manufacturing technologies for needles we have accumulated over many years, we always try to innovate and pursue new technologies to develop new needle products. Among new technologies we developed, the most innovative & leading-edge one is Ultra-fine Wire Processing Technology. One of the most important process of needle manufacturing is Point Grinding Process where thousands of straight-cut wires are conveyed by feed wheel, and are continuously polished by grind stones to sharpen the tips of wires and make needles' points. Having made this Point Grinding Process much evolved, we developed the high-precision Processing Technology of making ultra-fine wire into a needle shape.
Do you know how thick human hair is? It is said that thick one is 0.10mm thick, thin one is 0.06mm, and 0.08mm on average. We developed New High-precision Processing Technology to make the Wire, whose thickness is the same or thinner than human hair, into a needle shape, and utilizing this technology, we are making Probe Needles for Semiconductor Test etc. for world market at present.
There is the tool, called Probe Card, for testing semiconductors at "Wafer Test" to check quality of IC or LSI in the first process of semiconductor manufacturing. We are now mainly producing & selling Probe Needles used for Cantilever Type Probe Card and Vertical Contact Probe Card. Our probe needles made by our unique & precision production method are called "Mechanical Grinding Probe Needle,” to distinguish them from Probe Needles made by conventional method of chemical etching.
